佩尔助学金

Federal 佩尔助学金s are based on the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) determined by your FAFSA 结果. Students receive payments from the Pell grant based on their enrollment status (full time or part time). 佩尔助学金s are offered only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. Pell grants are federally determined and are the same at any school you attend.

Students receiving a Federal Pell grant who earn a grade of FN (failed, never attended) or WN (withdrew, never attended) will have the 学分 for those courses removed from their 金融 aid enrollment for receipt of the grant. 例如, if a student has full-time enrollment and is enrolled in four (4) three credit hour courses and receives a grade of FN or WN in two of those courses, the student’s enrollment for Pell grant purposes would change to half-time at 六个 学分. Pell grant recipients who receive a grade of FS (failed, 停止参加), WP (withdrew passing), or WF (withdrew failing) will also have a date indicating their last date of academic participation. 另外, the credit for courses where the student ceased academic participation after the add/drop period has ended will be removed from their 金融 aid enrollment for receipt of the Pell grant. 总之, FN等级, WN, FS, WP, and WF can reduce a student’s eligibility for the Federal Pell grant. 的se adjustments would, typically, occur after the student has been paid Pell for a semester. 的 adjustment will create a university balance that, 如果无薪, will be subject to the University’s collection process.

教授予

Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program is a non-need based grant program. TEACH is offered to students who are enrolled in certain education majors. Students must agree to teach in a high-need field, at a low-income elementary or secondary school for four years of the eight years after completing the TEACH-eligible degree program. If you have been offered a 教授予, you must complete both 教授予 Counseling and an Agreement to Serve (ATS).

的 ATS specifies the conditions under which the grant will be offered and the teaching service requirements. If you do not meet the teaching service requirements you must repay the grant as a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. This means that you will owe the amount you received with interest accrued from the date the grant funds were first disbursed. By completing the ATS, you agree to all terms of the 教授予 program. This includes the requirement to serve for four years as a full-time teacher in a high-need subject area at a school serving low-income families.

Federal regulations require that students who have received a 教授予 complete an exit counseling session upon withdrawing or graduating from their program of study. 的 教授予 Exit Counseling session provides information about the terms and conditions of a 教授予 service agreement, as well as the rights and responsibilities that apply if your 教授予 is converted to a Direct Unsubsidized Loan.
