图书馆 小时
University 库 strive to make our spaces and physical 集合 as widely available as possible to our primary community of researchers – 俄亥俄州 students, 教师, and staff as our resources allow. We also endeavor to be good partners with our local community of 雅典 and southeastern Ohio.
每年, we review the hours our spaces are open to the 俄亥俄州 community and the broader community and work to balance our resources in support of clean, 功能, safe spaces available in the broadest manner reasonable.
Available hours for the 俄亥俄州 community for Alden 图书馆, the 音乐 & Dance 图书馆 in Glidden Hall, and the Mahn Center for 档案 and Special 集合 in Alden 图书馆, and the regional campus libraries are published on the 库’ web site.
图书馆 spaces may be closed or limited due to the cost to mitigate risks related to the safety of people, 集合, and technology.
Overnight Access, Stacks Passes & 分页
Ohio University 教师, graduate students, 宏达国际学生, or Cutler Scholars, may present their Ohio ID to the service desk staff for a stacks pass in order to access other floors of Alden 图书馆 when only the 2nd and/or 4th floors are open. Other students with special projects or needs can request limited access by contacting Chad Boeninger, Interim Assistant Dean for 研究 and Education 服务.
When Alden 图书馆’s 2nd and/or 4th floors are open and the other floors of Alden are closed, service desk staff will retrieve known items from circulating 集合 on closed floors. Bring the title and call number for an available item to either the 2nd or 4th floor service desks.
During breaks or holidays, or other times when staffing is limited, retrieving materials or stacks passes may be unavailable.
